HO Locomotives <<-- Previous   index   Next -->> Atlas C30-7 diesel sound 1 Speaker with capacitor and resistor mounted under the radiator grille of a C30-7. The solid plastic grille (not seen here) was replaced with open mesh. The wide radiators on most GE locos mean that larger speakers like this can be fitted without cutting the edges off. The four holes seen at bottom right are the female connector for the rear light and speaker. The speaker was then boxed in with a plastic cover that rests on the white strips and was fixed with silicone rubber sealant. The components at the far end (blue capacitor, etc.) were for a 'white' led rear light, but have since been removed.
