Peco turnouts

Peco turnouts

This is the underside of a Peco Finescale Electrofrog (Code 75, live-frog) small or medium radius turnout. These come with the frog (at left) wired out and connected through to the turnout blades (at right). However, this has a slight short-circuit risk via the back of the wheels.
Peco provide an insulating section a couple of ties from the frog which is jumpered underneath - I remove these jumpers from the holes (just right of centre), and then solder feed wires to both the stock rails and the stubs of the blades as seen here. The gaps in the ties here are also provided by Peco, so this job is a doddle. The blade hinges are to the right of the picture; I don't try to add a wired feed to the blades, though I probably should.
