The speaker was then enclosed in an airtight styrene box extended to the back of the cab (for volume). There is about 3mm between the back of the speaker and the top of the motor, so using 1mm styrene I aimed for 1mm space between it and the speaker and motor. The plug and socket (actually PCB header strip) fit above the front flywheel and the wires running to the decoder have to go down each side to use the space above the 'shoulders' of the motor. |
