Another shot of the interior. The socket part of the connector is epoxied to the styrene enclosure. The four power wires from the socket to decoder are clustered with some heatshrink tube and held in place with glue. On the other side the two wires to the headlight are glued in place. The yellow wire from the top of the motor is glued to the motor shoulder but is self supporting past the flywheel - it is 0.7mm solid core wire so fairly stiff, and there is a decent clearance.
The decoder is pushed onto the spacers (see picture 7) and held firmly with a drop of superglue at each corner.
