This is a general view of the attic above the cover nearest the window - hence the low roof clearance.
At the right is the support structure with the ropes down through the ceiling just visible below. The fixed rope is wrapped round the bar and then goes to the cleat a little to the left. This makes it easy to adjust the length and also provides two independent rope fixings without knotting the rope. The latter is important to ensure the integrity of the rope.
The moving rope is seen leaving to the left, horizontal. Further to the left is a braced piece of wood with a pulley on the far side where the rope turns 90 deg and leaves the picture going near parallel to the rafters.
The line leaving to the right is the pull-up line.
